Named after the beautiful Mun River in Thailand, Moon River Thai Kitchen is our family-run restaurant and our way of sharing the warmth, flavors, and hospitality of Thailand with Post Falls.

At the heart of our kitchen is Kanita, our owner and chef, who grew up in Ubon Ratchathani province. As a teenager, she earned a scholarship to study at an acclaimed culinary school in Bangkok. After graduating, she went on to teach traditional Thai cuisine herself, before spending years working in professional kitchens. Today, she brings that experience to Moon River, where she personally cooks every meal we serve and prepares much of it from scratch.

Our restaurant is set inside a historic 1923 home, which we’ve transformed into a warm and welcoming dining space. A place for home-cooked Thai food, a cozy atmosphere, and the simple pleasure of sitting down for a good meal and feeling genuinely welcome.
